We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to carry out identified home care services for adults living in their own homes. We promote independence and autonomy, and ensure our representatives deliver services in a respectful and dignified manner taking into consideration privacy and confidentiality. The role of a Home Support Assistant is varied and rewarding, no two days are the same.
You will be enrolled on to a rigorous training programme, which will include community training with a senior carer followed by a course of in house training sessions. These sessions will include:
• Induction to Health & Social Care
• Induction to HLCS
• Moving and Handling
• Medication
• Health & Safety
• Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults
• Food Hygiene and Hydration
There is a wealth of other training available, including a Diploma in Health & Social Care and we will help you decide what is right for you. You will be given the assistance, guidance and support you need at every stage of your training to enable you to learn the skills you need to successfully complete each module.
We value our employees, so Heath Lodge Care Services Limited has a generous salary structure which reflects and rewards your development as you acquire new skills and qualifications. Enhanced rates are paid at weekends and on Bank Holidays.
You will need to have a full driving licence and access to a car. We will provide all the training and equipment you need, including a uniform. We operate an open door policy, which enables any employee to pop in to discuss any concerns or worries they may have. You will be supported by a solid office based team who will assist you in any way they can.
